The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.   Psalms 72:20 
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.   Isaiah 1:15 
Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.   Mark 12:40
